Leslie LaMarr Bio
Author (of two plays, several short stories and two books, so far); Journalist; Ghostwriter; Poet; Editor of seven magazines - three national, four local; Publicist; Independent Publisher; Over 25 years of experience in media, film, music and marketing. Strategic romantic.
Leslie is a former rock columnist with a feature film credit on Undersiege who worked for about five minutes with Greg Behrendt prior to his own infamy. In her prior life she was known for coordinating film events and for promoting independent films; the Maverick's surf documentary was one of them. Now, she also mentors fledgling authors towards their own goals. Favorable results of the methods detailed in her first book, COME TOGETHER, have been the many songs that were written about her, or with her in mind, a number of CD dedications and a large painting of her hair created by one fine artist.
Currently Leslie is expanding the content of Come Together in preparation of the reprint of a bigger and better 3rd edition, while she is also writing a companion book to Come Together for men entitled Mojo Risin'. Mojo Risin' discusses the details surrounding the facts that men primarily have a physical goal when they're attracted to women, and would ultimately like to enjoy a more meaningful relationship with one special woman, but they end up derailed by silly behaviors that defeat them from ever reaching either goal. This book also utilizes the same combination of logic and humor that Come Together does in order to break down the less successful avenues of communication between the sexes, in an effort to reconstruct more positive relationships for all parties involved.
As a Libra, Leslie naturally loves to be in love, but she will happily settle for great sex or a fabulous pair of shoes.
Thanks for reading her books!
