WHO ARE WE???
We are several authors who have decided to band together to create a publishing company that would bring opportunity back to aspiring authors.

FAQs
Why did you start this tiny Horton Hears A Who publishing company anyway? A: Because we love books. We love the heart and soul that authors loan to their words on the pages of a book. We are on your side. We are not another gatekeeper who is going to keep you from getting published. We are just like you. We are aspiring authors who got tired of being held back from our readers. We want people to read our books and we want them to read yours. We are willing to make that happen by finding a way to publish and market you. It may not be the $50,000 advance, two book deal with a first right of refusal for your third offering and a string of personal appearances in name stores that you have always dreamed of, but it will be something. We will find some way to enable your writing to reach readers.
What kind of a publisher are you? A: Traditional publishing, digital publishing and self publishing. We do not print on demand. If we publish an author in print, we print a predetermined quantity of books. We also prefer to work closely with the authors that we sign and to develop a marketing plan that is unique to the manuscript we are publishing and to the author we are representing. No two author deals are exactly the same.
Our goal is to publish you. And while we don't have deep pockets, we do have heart and we like to give every author who approaches us the opportunity to be published. We are able to do that in a number of ways. If you want to be in print and we are not able to afford you that opportunity at our cost, then we offer YOU the opportunity to pay for your own publishing at our cost plus 15%. This is called self publishing or subsidized publishing. MIND YOU, even at our cost, print publishing is not totally cheap. It can cost thousands of dollars for a print run large enough for us to have sufficient copies on hand for your marketing and distribution. And then there is a fee for shipping to and from distribution hubs and for your marketing campaign. If you pay for your own print run, we will also give you a sizeable quantity of books for you to use in your own marketing and sales campaigns. Rest assured that prior to making any financial commitments or signing any contracts, we will discuss with you in detail, your desires for marketing, promotion and sales so that we can determine the best plan available for your literary career.
When we publish you digitally, we can afford to be A LOT more supportive of fledgling authors. Digitized books, also known as ebooks, cost very little to produce. As your digital publisher, we will final edit your manuscript, digitize your book and assign it an ISBN number before uploading it to the world sales sites we currently use. Or, we are happy to empower YOU by giving you detailed instructions on how to digitize your own book and where to upload it. The difference being that if you create your own ebook, then you are also solely responsible for the quality of your ebook, for marketing your book and for generating sales. Whereas, if we digitally publish you, then we will final edit your ebook and incorporate it into our marketing plan in order to generate sales.
FYI - because we support you as an author just like your best friend or Mother does and because we COMPLETELY believe that digital publishing is the BEST way to produce books for the future, we rarely decline to digitally publish an author. Our only criteria for publishing digitally are that your book MUST BE READABLE AND FOR THE MOST PART INFORMATIVE OR ENJOYABLE. If you really can't cohesively string two sentences together, then PLEASE PLEASE take a writing course at a community college and learn to edit yourself so that you can produce a legible piece of material that we can work with! AND please use the spelling and grammar tools available in Word. Time permitting; we will gladly edit our digital authors before we produce your book. But editing takes a whopping amount of time, so we really prefer that your book is, for the most part as polished as you can realistically make it. What does this directly mean in your life? It means, join a local or online writers group and get feedback on your writing so that you can make positive changes accordingly before you submit your manuscript to us. It also means that if you live with someone READ YOUR BOOK ALOUD to them and ask them for their feedback on your sentence structure, story, ending or on your characterizations. For example, the book COME TOGETHER was edited 152 times before we committed it to a final print! While WE WANT TO EMPOWER AUTHORS, we won't just publish anything if you are lazy about your commitment to creating it.
Enough said.
Where are we located? A: We are located in Northern California.
When are we available for project consultation either on the phone or online? A: YES! We can be contacted via email 24/7 using the form below. Or you can leave us a personal message at 818.503.2877 and one of us will return your call as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of emails we receive, we ask that you limit initial questions on your projects to THREE (3) questions only. If you have more than three (3) questions on your project or need ongoing consultation, we ask that you retain us at our consultation rate of $25 an hour.
If I want to order books from you, may I? A: Of course you may! In fact we encourage it because it means our authors make a greater profit! Please see our main page for new listings and purchase options. Occasionally we even pick up the shipping and tax costs on our print books!
What are my payment options? A: We accept all major credit cards, money orders and Paypal. Personal checks and cash payments are discouraged, but if it's the only method of payment available to you, then we will wait for your check to clear before shipping your order.
How do you ship my purchase to me? A: We use the USPS, Fedex, DHL and CA Overnight for shipping. We will provide you with tracking information upon the fulfillment of your order.

Where else can I buy your books? A: You can purchase them through Amazon.com and through your local independent booksellers. If they do not have our titles instock, they can special order them for you.
I want to be published - will you help me? A: Sure! We are interested in submissions of all genres. The submission guidelines are as follows: Please email within the body of your email form, the FIRST TEN PAGES of your COMPLETED manuscript. We will NOT ACCEPT ANY SUBMISSIONS AS ATTACHMENTS and we will not consider any work that is still in progress or is "close to completion." We are only interested in considering COMPLETED works.
What will it cost me to get published? A: That depends on you and us. Because we are a small publishing company, we can personalize our author agreements to the nature of the book, the expectations of the author and our agreed upon marketing plan. We don't have a standard contract or any specific requirements other than you must have completed your manuscript and we must consider it marketable to some element of purchaser in the United States.
Do you distribute internationally? A: No, not at this time.
What other services besides publishing do you offer? A: We offer our services as Editors, Ghostwriters, Co-Authors and as Publicists. The fees for these services are negotiated based upon the size of the project and the extent to which our services are needed.
I have a question that you did not answer on this page - can I contact you? A: Yes, absolutely!!! Email us using the form below and we will respond as promptly as we can. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of email we receive, we may take up to three days to repond. But fear not, we will respond as soon as possible.
